Men's Results | Women's Results
Cornell, IA-As the track team heads down the home stretch towards the HAAC Indoor meet in Lamoni and the National meet in Tennessee they were at the Cornell College Hilltop Invite on Saturday.
Athletes from both the men's and the women's teams enjoyed great days but freshman Mwale Kapande stole the show. Kapande won the women's 55 meter, won the women's 200 meter and placed third overall in the long jump. When Coach Allshouse brought Mwale on board last year he expected big things from her, she is beginning to deliver.
On the men's side it was the usual suspects. Freshman Justin Gibbs finished 4th overall in the 200 meter run and won the 400 meter run. Along with Gibbs, Ben Brummit had a strong showing in the pole vault finish 5th overall. Full results on both the men's and women's teams are posted above.
Graceland will next host the Valentines multi-event meet in Lamoni this Friday and Saturday (February 13th and 14th) inside the Closson Center. Stay tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage of the men's and women's indoor track teams and all of Jacket atheltics.
