Lamoni, IA-The Graceland baseball team was finally able to get a game in after suffering through some harsh spring weather. The Yellowjackets picked up right were they left off sweeping the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers in the conference double header. Graceland won game 1, 7-5 and game 2, 3-0.
Game one was back and forth until the Jackets scored two in the bottom of the sixth to pull away late for the 7-5 win. Game 2 was all Carlos Soto (Caracas, Venezuela) who threw a one-hit gem shutting down the Pioneers and sealing the sweep for Graceland.
The Jackets now stand at 8-17 overall and 6-6 overall in HAAC play. Graceland will next face William Jewell College in Liberty, MO this Friday afternoon in a conference double header.
