Box Game 1 | Box Game 2
Canton, MO-The Graceland baseball team was in Canton, Missouri this afternoon coming off of this weekends sweep at the hands of William Jewell. Today however, the Jackets were looking to get back on track in conference play.
Game one was all Jackets as Koa Kaleo (Pearl City, HI) threw a gem holding the Wildcats to one run over five innings. Raymond Rivera (Gurabo, Puerto Rico) drove in two and Graceland won, 5-1.
In game two the Jackets pitching and defense struggled as they gave up 6 earned runs and committed 5 errors. Sean Smith (St. Mary's, IA) did go 3-4 in the loss including a triple and Raymond Rivera swiped two bases. Full stats are attached.
The Jackets will next face Benedictine College this Saturday in Lamoni at 1pm. Graceland is 9-22 overall and 7-11 in HAAC play during the 2009 campaign. Stay tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage of the baseball team and all of Jacket athletics.
