Lawrence, KS-At the prestigious KU Relays Thursday evening, Graceland track star Neil Grundman (Croswell, MI) finished 5th in the 5000 meter run. Grundman was the only Jacket who qualified and was able to partake in the event. Besides finishing 5th, Grundman's time was good enough to qualify him for the 2009 NAIA Outdoor National Championship in May. On top of that, his time of 14:42.27 is a new Yellowjacket record in the 5000.
