Box Game 1 | Box Game 2
Lamoni, IA-The Graceland baseball team isn't going to go away anytime time soon. After struggling much of the early part of the season, the Jackets have gotten red hot of late as they try and garner one of the final spots in the HAAC post season tournament. Graceland took one step closer to that today sweeping the Central Methodist Eagles 16-7 and 9-6.
In game one Graceland led 7-4 as they headed into their half of the sixth inning. A 12 spot changed the score in their favor in a hurry and Graceland went on to win big, 16-7. Game two the Jackets trailed early but rallied late for the 9-6 win. Stats are currently unavailable.
Graceland now stands at 17-26 overall and 15-19 in the HAAC which is good enough for seventh place right now, one out of a playoff spot. The Jackets will head to Baker this Saturday, April 25th for a very important conference double header. Stay tuned to the Jacket athleitcs website for continuing coverage of the Graceland baseball team and all of Jacket athletics.
