Lamoni, IA-Kevin Allison Senior Outside Hitter from Elgin, IL was a 1st team all conference player for the "MAMVIC WEST" conference.
Kevin was 3rd in the conference with 3.7 kills per game, a hitting percentage of .313% and averaged 1.2 digs per game in the conference
Kevin was an outstanding leader on this team. We could always look to him when we needed a kill. He was one of our most aggressive servers and primary passers as well. Kevin was consistent, collected and confident. He always wanted the ball and we were lucky to have such a talented player like him to rely on!
Joe Klein Senior Middle Hitter from Richmond, MN was a 1st team all conference player as well.
Joe was 6th in the conference with a hitting percentage of .378, he averaged 2.9 kills per game and was 4th in the conference averaging 1.2 blocks per game in the conference.
Joe has only been playing volleyball for 3 years. He is so athletic and such a quick learner. With his athleticism and motivation Joe turned into one of the best middle hitters in the country! Teams would scout us based upon shutting down Joe. The fact that they keyed on Joe so much made the rest of our team more successful. He made all of us better by drawing that kind of attention.
Austin Isham Senior Setter from Leawood, KS was the 2009 "Setter of the Year" for the "MAMVIC WEST" conference
Austin was tied for 1st in the conference averaging 12 assist per game. Austin also average .8 blocks per game and 1.4 digs per game.
Austin was crucial to our success this year in so many ways. He was a great leader and lead this team by example. He defined who we wanted to be, who we should be and what we wanted to succeed. He was a big part of our success this year. On the court he was made good decisions, was level headed and developed the most successful offense we have ever had in my head coaching career here at Graceland!
We will miss all of the seniors they impacted our program in a big way. We are thankful they were here to contribute to our success and be a part of our long standing Graceland Volleyball tradition. Thank you seniors you appreciated for your commitment! I wish you well!
