Waianae, HI-Head men's volleyball coach Chad McDole has a long recruiting season ahead of him. He is off to a great start with the signing of Anthony Robinson of Waianae, Hawaii.
Robinson is a senior at Waianae High School who has been named player of the year in his high school's conference and represented his aloha region team as an outside hitter at the high performance international championships in Tucson, Arizona. In the championships, Robinson's team earned a silver medal for their outstanding play.
Anthony's club volleyball coach had this to say about him, "Anthony is extremely athletic and he has gotten where he is through very hard work," stated coach George Ehia. "Anthony has been a starting outside hitter since the age of 14 and has represented his club team in the finals of the USA junior olympic tournament every year he has played. He will be an excellent player for Graceland University and coach Chad McDole," finished Ehia.
Anthony has ties to the MAMVIC already and comes from volleyball lineage. Anthony will have the opportunity to compete against his brother Aaron, who plays for the Missouri Valley Vikings.
"I'm really excited to have Anthony coming to GU," stated Coach McDole. "This is a big signing for us and hopefully is a good start in bringing in a long line of talented Hawaiian players. The level of volleyball in Hawaii is second to none and the training they receive from an early age is a huge advantage in player development. I can't wait to get Anthony on campus next fall as a future Yellowjacket," concluded an excited McDole.
