The GU4U Committee within the alumni board plays an important role in connecting current students with alumni. The committee provides a framework for support that encourages student success and career direction while fostering a greater connection for our growing alumni base.
Many GU4U members are passionate about connecting with students and helping them on their career and life journeys. These committee members have facilitated interviews, organized networking events, and offered career advice to Graceland students.

Networking and outreach events are important aspects of the GU4U committee’s role. In March 2023, they held a networking event in the Newcom Student Union Great Room — reviewing resumes, offering interview tips, and sharing about their career experiences. This event allowed students to meet alumni in their fields and gain knowledge about success in their industries.
In September 2022 during homecoming week, they also held an event which enabled students to connect with alumni and friends regarding their unique Graceland experiences, careers, and life after Graceland. The GU4U committee also met with new faculty and staff to foster relationships of understanding and connection, and encourage them to build their own networks for the benefit of Graceland students.
The GU4U committee also helps monitor and connect with students and alumni via their LinkedIn page. GU4U and alumni board members post jobs, internships, and other career updates on this site. They also encourage alumni and current students to post similar opportunities on the GU4U LinkedIn webpage.
GU4U is more than just an attempt to foster conversations among future, current, and past students; it is a focused initiative to build supportive, lifelong connections between members of the Graceland community.
The Graceland Experience isn’t any one specific thing — it connects us in its multi-layered diversity. And that experience is what we carry forward into the world.
From NAIA and Heart of America Athletic Conference awards to excellent leadership in Graceland Student Government (GSG) and House President (HP) roles, Graceland students are taking “the Hill” — and even other parts of the world — by storm.
