Dr. Christopher Brandt, Assistant Professor of Music, recently presented at the Iowa Music Educators Conference. The conference, hosted in Ames, IA is an educational conference for all music educators in Iowa. Brandt presented, “Stolen Music – Wind Band Transcriptions”, which focused on the role that transcriptions have played in the history of wind bands and the role they continue to play in modern bands especially those in schools.
