Graceland University Professor of History Steve Glazer attended “Reformations and Revolutions in World History,” the eighth annual conference of the Midwest World History Association, held this year at the University of Central Oklahoma from Sept. 22-23. Glazer chaired a panel on “Contested Revolutions in the Middle East: Islamization, Urbanization, Democratization,” and attended a roundtable on “Education for Native American Students: Then and Now,” as well as other panels and presentations. He served on the conference planning committee for 2017 and will serve again on the committee planning the 2018 conference. At the Executive Committee meeting, held in conjunction with the conference, the possibility of Graceland University hosting a future MW-WHA conference was proposed, possibly for 2019 or 2020, and that proposal was warmly received.
