The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Data Science and Mathematics at Graceland University seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science & Information Technology position to begin August of 2025. The Department focuses on teaching courses in computer science, information technology, data science, and mathematics in preparing students for careers in cybersecurity, data science, and software and web development. Candidates should possess a Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent with an emphasis in Computer Science and have an established record of scholarship as demonstrated by a peer reviewed publication and/or a conference presentation. Graceland is looking for innovative applicants who 1) have the ability to teach a wide-variety of courses including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, and Full Stack Web Development; 2) will advance Graceland’s student experience and grow the Computer Science and Information Technology Department; supports student-faculty extracurricular computing activities, trips, and projects; 3) supports scholarships to attract students to the Department; and 4) will engage in service that highlights the school’s curriculum foundations – Global, Ethical, and Entrepreneurial.
