Graceland University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design to begin August of 2025. Candidates should possess a Master of Fine Arts degree or foreign equivalent with an emphasis in Graphic Design.
An established contemporary graphic design practice invested in innovative, student-centered, inclusive pedagogy as shown by creative works portfolio is required. Also, a successful candidate must demonstrate ability to: teach, including ability to focus on the education of designers and artists within a liberal arts curriculum and value student mentoring and to communicate design concepts and rationale to non-specialist audience; use interdisciplinary research and teaching and interest in art and design as a means for social change; strive to create a welcoming community in which all individuals are respected and included; engage in dialogue and foster student work around issues of difference.
