Graceland University’s Department of Health and Movement Science is seeking an Assistant Professor of Health and Movement Science with expertise in exercise science for a tenure track position starting August 1, 2025.
We are looking for a motivated faculty member who can contribute to our curriculum by teaching courses in the Department of Health and Movement Science. The teaching load is 24 hours per year, with preferred focus areas of strength and conditioning, coaching, physical education, and/or allied health. Specific courses will depend on the areas of expertise of the candidate.
Responsibilities will include:
- Teaching courses in the department of Health and Movement Science
- Advising undergraduate students
- Committee assignments for the university
Applicants with a terminal degree in the areas of Exercise Science, Human Performance, Kinesiology, and Education are preferred. ABD or Masters in related disciplines will be considered. Specialty certification in strength and conditioning (e.g., CSCS) is desirable. The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching excellence.
