The Department of Health and Movement Science at Graceland University invites applicants for a Teaching Graduate Assistant. This position will teach four undergraduate courses per year (12 SH) within the department of Health and Movement Science. Positions will include a 9-month contract beginning August 1, 2024, with a commitment of 2 years (length of the master’s program) required.
Position Requirements and Preferences:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in related area (Allied Health, Physical Education and Health, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership in their undergraduate program
- Acceptance into the Graceland University Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance Program
- Demonstrated talent in building and working as a cohesive team
- Independent decision making and ability to exercise good judgment
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines
- Organizational skills, time management, relationship building, and communication skills are essential
Compensation:
- $8,000 stipend per year (paid over 12 months)
- Up to 27 hours of graduate school tuition per year in the Graceland University Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance program
