Senior Allied Health student Ethan Balogh ‘23 has published his student research article: “Efficacy of Natural Supplements and Foods in Decreasing Inflammation and Increasing Recovery of Damaged Muscles,” in the journal Nutritional Foundations.
Dr. James Geiselman, Assistant Professor of Allied Health, said, “I am incredibly proud of Ethan. This research paper was initially a requirement for his Sports Nutrition class, and Ethan saw it through the entire publication process.”
Ethan will graduate this Spring with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health degree with a concentration in Applied Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology. After graduation, Ethan will continue his academic career as he plans to attend graduate school at Rockhurst University and pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
“Graceland’s Health and Movement Science department has allowed me to pursue my passions of learning about the human body while exploring the field of health care,” said Balogh. “I am thankful for my time in the HMS program as it has prepared me for my future endeavors in the health care field.”
“We (HMS faculty) are incredibly proud of Ethan’s hard work and know that he is a great representation of what it means to graduate with an Allied Health degree at Graceland,” said Dr. Geiselman.
