Graceland University Assistant Professor of English Catherine Clifford, PhD, has written a book chapter titled “Elizabeth I and the Dancing Stuart Queens: Female Agency and Subjectivity in Early Modern English Court Drama,” which was published in The Palgrave Handbook of the History of Women On Stage, edited by Jan Sewell and Clare Smout. The book is an ambitious volume, spanning thousands of years of performance history worldwide.
