Graceland is excited to announce the hiring of Kevin Rushing as the Director of People and Project Management based on the Lamoni, Ia. campus.
Rushing will join Graceland in a role that is new to the University on January 16. He has extensive experience in people and project management for higher education institutions through his work with National Management Resources Corporation, a facilities management corporation dedicated to educational institutions across the country.
Rushing said, “I am very excited to join the team at Graceland University and feel blessed for this amazing opportunity. I look forward to bringing value to the campus and helping GU continue to grow for years to come.”
Rushing holds bachelor’s degrees from both Tennessee Wesleyan College and Hannibal LaGrange University as well as a master’s degree in Organizational Management. Prior to joining National Management Resources, he was the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at William Penn University for five years. In 2012, Rushing began serving as a physical plant director for Hannibal LaGrange University through his work for National Management Resources. He was promoted to Regional Director for the company in 2018, overseeing nearly 300 employees over nine states. His responsibilities at Graceland will include project management of capital and construction projects. He will also lead several training and compliance initiatives at the University as well as emergency management.

Rushing will report to the Vice President for Business and Finance.
