Graceland University Band Director and Professor of Music, Frank Perez, has accepted an invitation to the South Central Iowa Conference Honor Band as the featured guest conductor and clinician.
Over 100 students, carefully selected from all high schools in the South Central Iowa Conference, have been chosen to participate in this year’s Honor Band workshop and concert. Perez will be rehearsing with these students to help prepare them for the day’s performance.
“It is great to be selected as the guest conductor!” said Perez. “I look forward to working with the top music students in the South Central Conference and am excited to be spending the day coaching, teaching the students about music and preparing them for their concert.
The event, which is scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, in Centerville IA, will be held in the Centerville High School auditorium and will be presented to all the elementary students in the conference, as well as the parents of the participating musicians.
