Kyung Park Attends Women in Computing Conference

Graceland University Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Information Technology Kyung Park, DSc, attended the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) MINK WIC (Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas Women in Computing) 2019 conference at Kansas City/Lenexa City Center on November 8-9. Park was accompanied by five female Graceland students majoring in computer science and information technology (CSIT). The conference presented workshops on PWA (progressive web applications), data science and introduction to Swift programming language for Apple platforms, as well as career building in tech or academic/research fields. There were resume-building and critique sessions in parallel with career fairs of many sponsors, including women in computing (ACM-W), American Century Investments, Cerner, GoDaddy, Commerce Bank, etc.
