Graceland University Assistant Professor of English Tim Robbins, PhD, presented a paper, “Walt Whitman, Daniel Garrison Brinton, and the Poetics of Americanist Anthropology” at the inaugural Walt Whitman International Conference held at the Walt Whitman Birthplace in Huntington, New York, Aug. 9-11. The event was a part of the Walt Whitman Consortium’s 2019 bicentennial celebrations of the poet’s birth.
