Brian J. White, PhD, teaches courses in literature, film, writing, cultural studies and critical theory. He considers himself a “thought experiment” type of teacher and thinker and has degrees in Theatre, British and Commonwealth studies, and English.
When he is not teaching or engaged in administrative work, he builds furniture, roasts coffee, and spends much of his free time in the Rocky Mountains mountain biking every day, backpacking in the wilderness, and fly fishing.
For the last few years, Brian has co-led experiential educational seminars for the National Collegiate Honors Council in national parks such as Sequoia National Park, Glacier National Park, and Great Basin National Park. These experiences have brought together his interest with the outdoors with his teaching and academic pursuits. Find information about upcoming seminars here.
