Charmaine Chvala-Smith is seminary chaplain and focus session coordinator for Graceland University’s Seminary. She is originally from North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada. She and her husband, Tony, have spent the past two decades working within Community of Christ, the associated seminary and the University.
Before working in this shared ministry, she had served the church full time in a variety of roles: on a youth missionary team, as a district youth coordinator and as an executive minister. Charmaine is an evangelist, a trained spiritual director, and serves on the denomination’s Spiritual Formation Team and Theology Formation Team.
