Dr. Patterson teaches applied lessons on tuba, euphonium, and trombone, as well as an Introduction to Music Technology course available to all music students. He enjoys helping each student (major and nonmajor alike) embrace their love of music and improve on their chosen instrument.
Dr. Patterson loves both performing and teaching. He hopes that by inspiring students to become better musicians, they will also develop the perseverance, self-confidence, and resilience to achieve great things in all aspects of their lives.
Dr. Patterson has also proudly served as a member of the 35th Infantry Division Army National Guard Band of Kansas since 2015.
