Jared Beverly, MTS, PhD-c, is Faculty Associate for the Seminary at Graceland University. He studies the Hebrew Bible, especially as biblical studies intersect with queer theory and animal studies. His belief is that the Hebrew Bible has a vast menagerie of interesting insights to offer if looked at from these contemporary and compelling perspectives and finds sharing them with students beneficial.
Having received a BA in English, Mr. Beverly has been a writing tutor for a number of years. He has a passion for helping students navigate the word of academic English. Completing a Master of Theological Studies through Chandler School of Theology, Emory University, Mr. Beverly is currently writing his dissertation on Song of Songs at Chicago Theological Seminary.
In my time away from academia, I enjoy drinking coffee, singing in my church choir and running along the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago.
