Jennifer Matney brings over 20 years of experience in finance to Graceland, having most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at the National Advisors Trust Company. She graduated from Missouri Western University with bachelor’s degrees in business administration, management, and finance before completing her master’s degree in economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

As Graceland’s CFO, Matney is responsible for accounting, budget management, fiscal operations, facilities, and human resources. She will bring her expertise to facilitate business process improvement, develop strategic financial plans, oversee all university financial matters, and advise the president and board of trustees regarding all areas under her purview.

Matney has a passion for nonprofit work and community engagement and volunteers for several nonprofits in the Kansas City area, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and the United Way. She serves on several boards and committees, both professional and nonprofit.

As a first-generation college graduate, I value higher education and the doors that open as a result.
