Maria Metcalf

Maria Metcalf has worked in International Education since 2015 in a variety of roles including admissions, recruitment, and working with current international students. She values opportunities for students to further their education, giving back to the community and opportunities for students to learn both inside and outside of the classroom. One of Maria’s favorite things is to see a student’s growth from the time they arrive on campus to graduation and seeing students take advantage of the wide range of opportunities surrounding them.

Prior to Graceland, Maria graduated from Upper Iowa University with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, and holds a Bachelor of Art in Spanish, International Studies and TESOL. She is currently working on her Master of Arts in Global Affairs and plans to graduate in December 2025 from the University of Oklahoma. She is originally from Simpsonville, Kentucky and has lived in Iowa, Oregon, Ohio, and Spain. She currently resides in Lamoni, Iowa.
